Welcome to my webpage, where you can learn a bit about me and my passion for design.

I am a designer with web, extensive graphic design, and project management experience,  and worked with multi-million dollar retail manufacturers / distributors for over 20 years. I’m currently working as a Creative Director. My creative responsibilities and experience involve designing layouts for numerous projects from concept to completion. These stages include research and development, design and concepts, initial presentations, refined presentations, mock-up samples, copywriting, copy editing, proofreading, preparation of files for press (pre-press), review and approval of proofs, press checks, follow up with production, and quality control reports. I also have work experience in the administrative field, easily adapt to new technology/software, and am great at troubleshooting. I strive to go beyond expectations when working on any project, and have proven myself a loyal, dedicated and effective employee, as-well-as a team player. I love all aspects of art and design – and truly understand the importance of business objectives. I am a business-minded, creative type and can successfully combine my creative ideas along with business goals to successfully achieve ideal results. My areas of expertise include: Web design, e-commerce, print and package design, brochures, large format graphics, trade show booth graphics, prototype samples, marketing, corporate identity, point of purchase, PowerPoint presentations, invitations, digital illustration, photo manipulation and proofreading.

 

Web

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of websites, ranging from simple static HTML sites to complex, responsive ones that utilize JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL. Understanding how these components interact across different devices has been a fascinating aspect of my work. In addition to website creation and maintenance, I’ve also been involved in other aspects of web development. This includes implementing online marketing strategies, analyzing data for insights, managing e-commerce products and assets, ensuring content accuracy through proofreading, and coordinating with photographers and copywriters for social media assets. Given the dynamic nature of web technology, staying updated with new languages and evolving online marketing techniques is crucial in today’s interconnected world. It’s an ongoing learning process that I’m committed to embracing to deliver effective solutions.

Print

Print projects have truly become second nature to me. Overseeing every stage of countless print projects, from concept to approvals, and from pre-press to delivery and quality assurance, has provided me with invaluable experience. Designing for print requires meticulous attention to detail. It’s not just about the visuals; it’s about considering every aspect, from the type of paper and ink colors used to the engineering of packaging and its configuration on a shelf, point-of-purchase displays, or pallets. Structural stability during shipping is also a critical factor that cannot be overlooked.

Interactive

I’ve always found creating interactive media to be both enjoyable and rewarding. Interactive media opens up a world of possibilities for user engagement and interaction. From interactive games to media players, video and audio content, and dynamic PowerPoint presentations and slideshows, there are countless formats through which users can interact with content. It’s this versatility and potential for engagement that makes working with interactive media so exciting.
